Larry Page is ruining Google. Instead of focusing on what Google does best, he’s trying to make Google a secondrate Facebook meets Apple. Google is not Facebook. Google is not Apple. This is not what made Google successful. These are not their core businesses. This is not where they make their money.
They’re like Microsoft, bleeding so much money to imitate competitors. In fact, Google+ is Google’s Bing — a halfway decent but ultimately doomed competitor.
It’s sad to watch Google flounder like this, but being an unprofitable, unpopular second place follower never worked out well for other companies.
